About Body Heart

The bodyheart campaign empowers people to celebrate their real beauty and fight back against the media and social norms that lead to poor body image. We believe our bodies are walking works of ART meant to be celebrated and cherished.

This powerful campaign begins a conversation about what you love about your body instead of what you hate. Our un-retouched images capture the truth — how beauty really does come in all shapes, sizes, ages and colors.

About Amber

Born and raised in a single-parent home in Charleston, WV, Amber attended Point Park University where she received an MFA in musical theater. She moved to New York City to pursue her passion of acting, ultimately working on Broadway and touring with the musical Mamma Mia. In 2009, she left the world of theater and earned an MA in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She founded two flourishing businesses as a professional coach and facilitator—bodyheart and Fierce Loving.

Amber has a thriving coaching practice where she serves a wide range of individuals, and also creates and facilitates her own coaching groups for body, business and life. Her individual clients range from moms, artists, small business owners to corporate and creative executives.

Amber’s work as a professional speaker has been featured at TEDx Malibu, MSN, the White House blog, University of Southern California, Pennsylvania State University and more. Located in Los Angeles, Amber lives with her boyfriend and two rescue pups, and helps people change their lives for the better as a coach, speaker and author.

She often leads with the question: How Good Can You Stand It? If you’re ready to find out, click here.

  • After years of seeing healers, doctors and applying creams as well as doing some serious internal and spiritual work my skin has healed significantly and I am so grateful. I thank my delicious brown and now-soft skin for everything it has taught me.

  • My belly is really important to me, it’s the core part of the body. I’m really proud of how it looks and all it does for me. I play volleyball and that’s how I got my strong core in the first place, but it’s strength has made me a better player.

  • …I am fortunate to be healthy, fit and skinny and that biology and god have given me a fast metabolism for a reason so I’m not going to fight it. I want to work out so that I feel good, because if I feel good, then I’ll look good.

  • I chose my shoulders because I like the strength in them and their shape. Being a little “older” I was happy to be participating in this project. I hope to inspire other “mature” women to love their bodies as they age and celebrate all we have been through.

  • I chose to highlight my pregnant belly. Even though our world is evolving, we still aren’t at a point where everyone can look at the miracle of pregnancy and embrace it for all of its glory.
